Hurlock Fall Festival - First Saturday in October

The Hurlock Fall Festival is held annually on the first Saturday in October each year. The Fall
Festival began in 1992. It has become an eagerly anticipated annual day of food, crafts, and fun
for the entire family. At the crack of dawn artisans and crafters begin to line the streets in the
vicinity of the train station. By the official starting time, the streets are filled with vendors,
tourists, and "locals".

The Fall Festival officially begins with a parade through town. Elected officials, local fire
companies, school bands, antique cars, and many others make the parade one of the high-
lights of the day. Another one of the highlights of the day might be the pony rides that are
available for the smaller children. Please notice that I said one of the highlights. The "star" of
the day has to be the train rides availabe at various time throughout the day. Board the "Hurlock
Express" and step back in time. Relax and enjoy your scenic ride through some of the most
beautiful farmland that Dorchester County has to offer. The round trip ride to Federalsburg
takes approximately 1 hour and is a pleasant break from the other activities that go on all day
long.

If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Hurlock and participate in the Fall Festival, mark
your calendar now. Get ready for a day of food, fun, and activities for the entire family. See
you there!!!
